Septim Labs is a small software studio.

pay once · own it · no subscriptions

We ship Claude Code tools, AI specialist packs, SaaS audits, and custom software builds for indie founders and small businesses. There is no subscription billing. Buy something, you own it. Email us, we answer.

What we actually do.

We build software for businesses that got priced out of the SaaS market. Auto shops paying $400/month for scheduling. Dental clinics paying $600/month for charting. Property managers paying $800/door for a tenant portal. After three years of contracts, those vendors have collected enough money to have built the system from scratch — and the customer still doesn’t own it.

Our pitch is simple: pay once, own it. Hosting goes on a free tier (Vercel, Supabase, Cloudflare). Stripe handles payments at 2.9% + 30¢. Email goes through your own Gmail. There is no recurring vendor in the loop. When the build is done, your monthly cost is $0.

The Septim Labs catalog ships through Claude Code. So we also publish the meta-products: the sub-agent rosters, the CLAUDE.md templates, the cost-monitor configs, the MCP security checklists. Every blog post on this site is something we wrote because we had to figure it out for a real client. Not theory. Not vibes. Receipts.

If you’ve been told a custom build “starts at $50k” or “requires a six-month engagement,” that’s a pricing artifact of agencies that bill ten humans for what a small team with the right toolchain can ship in a weekend. The technology is the same. The overhead is not.

What we’re an authority on.

Each one maps to a shipped product, a published guide, or a paying client engagement. Not a list of skills we’ve dabbled in.

// claude code

Claude Code agent stacks

10-agent rosters, sub-agent definitions, cost-monitor configs, PR-review workflows. We publish the Septim Agents Pack and the longest-running CLAUDE.md authoring guide of 2026.

// mcp

MCP server security & selection

We maintain the MCP server vulnerability checklist used by enterprise security teams to audit the Model Context Protocol surface area before letting Claude touch production data.

// claude.md

CLAUDE.md authoring

We wrote the “3000-line CLAUDE.md problem” analysis after seeing a single config bloat past 200KB. The best-practices guide is pinned across multiple Claude Code communities.

// custom software

Custom CRM & vertical SaaS replacement

We’ve replaced ServiceTitan-class workflows for auto shops, charting tools for dental clinics, and rent-roll dashboards for multifamily ops. Each one shipped on a free hosting tier.

// economics

Solo-team unit economics

How to price a custom build as a one-time fee and still pencil. Why the $5k flat-rate audit is the highest-margin product in the catalog. Why founding-rate pricing isn’t a discount — it’s an inventory clearance.

// stack

The pay-once stack

Next.js + Supabase + Stripe Express + Vercel + Cloudflare + Resend + Claude. The same six tools build everything in this catalog. We know where the seams leak and where the free tiers actually hold.

Every one is something we shipped because a client needed it — or because we needed it and figured someone else would too. Pay once. No subscriptions.
