The Knot, Zola, and WeddingWire all require an account before showing budget results. They then send weekly emails, share your contact with vendors, and use your planning data for advertising. This tool has no server to send your data to — the math runs entirely in the browser tab. We could not capture your email even if we wanted to.

Priorities differ. The numbers should reflect yours.

The default split is a median based on real U.S. wedding spending data. Most couples deviate significantly from industry percentages — photographers who care deeply about images, couples who skip flowers entirely, others who'd rather spend on food than a DJ.

Lock any category you've already priced by clicking the lock icon. Locked categories stay fixed while you adjust the others. The remaining percentage is always redistributed across unlocked categories so the total stays exactly at your budget.

The region selector shifts suggested allocations to reflect local pricing — venue costs in New York City consume a larger share of any given budget than the same venue type in Indianapolis.
